If I do not pay the maintenance fee, I understand it will affect my credit rating, however, that is not an issue with me. My house and car are paid for, I pay all my utilities.   I am over 60 years of age, and will not be asking for credit anywhere, as I have the finances to pay upcoming expenses.    So, if I walk away, I see this as a "no cost", vs. paying a transfer company to take it off my hands, and paying both the maintenance fee ($1049 US) + $2495 (their services).   tell me why I should not do this.  thanks.
